Collectively, the partners and associates at the Firm have argued and briefed dozens, if not hundreds, of criminal and civil appeals before state and federal appellate courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits, the Connecticut Supreme Court, and the Connecticut and New York Appellate Courts. We are active members of the Criminal Justice Act Panel in the Second Circuit and regularly represent clients before the Second Circuit in both white collar and other federal criminal matters. Two of our partners are admitted in the United States Supreme Court.
We also have experience in a wide variety of other types of administrative and courtroom proceedings, including FINRA hearings, AAA and JAMS arbitrations, professional grievance hearings, licensing and hospital privileges proceedings, matters before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), and complaints brought by the Office of State Ethics (OSE).
From our experience in representing clients facing government investigations, we also offer services to help clients avoid investigations in the first place. This includes advising on fraud detection, environmental compliance programs, healthcare compliance matters, whistleblower policies, and compliance with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
