Nathan Buchok Rejoins Spears Manning & Martini as Partner and Appellate Practice Lead

We are pleased to announce that Nathan Buchok has rejoined Spears Manning & Martini as a partner and will lead the Firm’s appellate practice. Nate was previously a litigation associate and then a partner at the Firm from 2013 to 2019. Nate returns after having served most recently as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Appellate Bureau of the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney, where he represented the State of Connecticut in criminal appeals for more than five years.

Nate brings extensive experience in appellate and trial advocacy. He has briefed and argued dozens of appeals before the Connecticut Supreme Court, the Connecticut Appellate Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, including appeals involving complex questions of constitutional law and statutory interpretation. He also served as a law clerk to judges on the Connecticut Appellate Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Nate maintains an active trial practice, drawing on his years of experience representing clients in all stages of litigation, including pretrial hearings, jury trials, and bench trials, in matters involving complex commercial disputes and white-collar criminal defense. He also advises clients on regulatory compliance matters and internal investigations.

We are excited to welcome Nate back to the Firm in this new role.
